Normal Way Of WorkingEvidence Gathering

Begin with ordinary classroom practice

Normal Way of Working develops through repeated use, not a one-off assessment. Agree a small number of supports to trial and make the review question clear.

A simple cycle

  1. Identify the barrier the learner is experiencing.
  2. Agree the support to try.
  3. Use it during ordinary learning and assessment.
  4. Record brief observations and learner feedback.
  5. Review whether the support is effective and sustainable.

Suggested evidence prompts

PromptUseful detail
What was used?Name the support or adjustment.
In what context?Note the subject, task or assessment.
What changed?Record impact on access, confidence or independence.

Keep the process proportionate. The aim is a reliable pattern of evidence, not paperwork for its own sake.

Use the teacher observation template to make classroom notes consistent.
